Treverton will undergo IQAA evaluation later this year. Independent Quality Assurance Agency (IQAA) has been formed to provide quality assurance through evaluation of schools. As part of the evaluation parents, and other stakeholders, will be asked to complete surveys about Treverton. Please be open and honest in your appraisal of the school, but also be sure to complete and return the survey.
Our security services provider and the routine of entry at our front gate has changed. Access stickers are available from both the Prep and College reception, and these will allow you to pass more freely through this checkpoint.
Arrangements for the final week of term, please note that school will close early on Wednesday to accommodate the Grade 7 Farewell Lunch, the Carols by Candlelight service supported by the Salvation Army Band will take place on also on Wednesday from 17h30.
Join us on the 27th for a wonderful evening of Carols by Candlelight, accompanied by The Salvation Army Band, please also help us to collect donations of non-perishables to add to the overall donation to them at the end of the evening.
Please help us to educate our kids regarding the dangers of lightning, Marimba Practices are on hold until the 15th November due to grade 6 and 7 exams, Recorder Practices will continue on 12th, lots of photos celebrating diligence, school and country spirit, grade 7 gift to the school and CANSA association support.
The end of the term is coming but we have some exciting events still coming, our CANSA Sprayathon and Marimba Festival next week. We are sad that Donna Moor will be leaving us at the end of the year, so will be greatly missed!
Well done to our Potjie Competition winners and Ilze Ramsey for another successful event, it’s a busy time between grade outings, Books 2 You and please mark in your diaries for our Market Day on the 25th October, together with the Pre-Prep Bike-a-thon taking place on the morning of Market Day.
Thank you to everyone for your contribution to Waving Flags and the U11 Cricket Festival, both were a huge success!! We now have the Potjie Competition coming up this weekend as well as the Market Day on the 25th October. It’s all happening!
Play practices will run every Friday for grades 4 to 7 from 2pm to 4pm until the end of term, our U11 Cricket Festival is coming up in the holidays and we would love you to support the kids alongside the field and if you have any form of sponsorship for the goodie bags please let us know.
