My journey started in 2000 at Kiddies Corner, where I worked as an Assistant and a Cleaner. In 2004 Treverton bought Kiddies Corner and I was given the opportunity to spend more time in the classroom, helping the teachers and interacting more with the children. I would like to say thank you to Mr Bob Reynolds for giving me this opportunity and for pushing me in the right direction.  If it wasn’t for him and his encouraging words, I might still be working as an assistant. In 2015 Mark Chaperon trusted me enough to let me have my own class, even though I was still studying. Today I’m a qualified teacher. I did my B.Ed at Unisa and what a journey it was!  Being a single mom, working and studying, wasn’t easy.  There were times when I felt like giving up.  Having people like Debbie Schulze helping me when I was clueless and didn’t know what I was doing, was wonderful.  To Neliswa Nhlangulela, Mama Mdluli and Mr Huggett for believing in me when I doubted myself, thank you. I have learnt a lot at Treverton.  It has been a place that has allowed me to grow and most importantly, achieve my dream.  I’ve worked with so many kind and friendly staff, who treated me like their daughter, sister, friend and family. I love my job and working with little children so much, what a blessing!
