Sport at Treverton
Treverton College offers a full range of traditional school sports as well as the Outdoor Pursuits Programme; a unique location; exposure to a whole lot more such as kayaking, sailing, fishing, abseiling, skateboarding, golf and microlighting.
Pupils are encouraged to participate in as wide a variety of sports as possible and to develop a love for competing, doing one's best, winning or losing well and everything that goes with team participation (working together, achieving a common goal, camaraderie, working through differences and celebrating each other's highs and lows).

Inter-schools Competition
Over the years Treverton, despite comparatively small numbers, has consistently been one of the top Schools within the Co-ed Natal Midlands League. It has produced many top sportsmen and sportswomen, and deserving and able pupils are given every opportunity to participate at Provincial and National level.
Athletics and Cross Country season sees Treverton competing against all the KwaZulu-Natal Schools. For five consecutive years, Treverton has won the Co-ed Invitational Gala to which Midlands Schools are invited.
Girls take part in hockey, water polo, indoor hockey, swimming and tennis against the following A-League Schools: St Anne's, St Johns, Epworth, Girls High School, Carter High, Voortrekker High and Howick.
Boys play basketball, hockey, soccer, cricket, squash and rugby and compete regularly against schools such as St Charles, Linpark, MCS, Carter High, Howick, ECA, Hilton, Maritzburg College, Michaelhouse, Greytown, Weston, Thomas More, Alex High, St Henry's, Estcourt and Wartburg.
Adventure Racing time sees Treverton participating in the Aquelle Mudman Series (off road triathlons - swimming/cycling/running), Jeep Msinsi Multisport Series (off road triathlon - canoeing/cycling/running), KZN Inter Schools Adventure Racing Series, KZN Spur Adventure Race Championship, Karkloof Mountain Bike Classic and Estcourt Biathlon/Triathlon Race.
Treverton frequently hosts interprovincial tournaments and sports festivals (particularly hockey and tennis). Overseas tours are also arranged, the most recent of which was a rugby tour of Italy.
Inter-house Competition
The three sports houses Campbell (Red), Jonsson (Blue) and Harland (Yellow) compete anually in a range of events for the much-coveted Inter-house Trophy.
