Every year the College invites Grade 6s and 7s to Sleepover over the course of a weekend. The purpose of the Sleepover is to expose pupils to a taste of Boarding, show them the campus and meet the staff and pupils. We believe that in the case of College Boarding, a few hours for an Open Day just isn’t enough to make an informed decision. There are two Sleepovers per year, one in March and the other in October, giving more opportunity to find a weekend that suits you! In March we combined this with our Big Event Family Fun Day which was a great success. Please join us for our next Sleepover on the 19th October. Kindly note that to make the necessary provisions we need bookings to be in latest Monday 14th October.
Saturday 19th October
Sleepover children will need to be dropped off at the Alan Staples Centre/Theatre on the College campus at 15h00 for registration and group allocation. Parents will be taken on a tour of the boarding houses upon arrival. Please do not drop and go! Following a short welcome to everyone from Kean Broom, the College Headmaster, and a treat from the College Drama department there will be an optional tour for parents of the school grounds while our young guests are taken back to dorm. The children are integrated into the programme for the evening with the usual boarding dinner and evening routines.
Sunday 20th October
The day starts with a simple breakfast for the children at 08h00 followed by a special programme within their groups. Parents we invite you to join us for an Information Brunch served from 10h30 at the College Sports Pavilion. The Pavilion is situated between the Astroturf and the Holford sports field. Your children will have a brunch at the main dininghall along with the rest of the boarders at 11h00 before joining you and signing out. Siblings are more then welcome to attend the Information Brunch please include them in your catering numbers.
For any parents/children requiring special dietary requirements, these are easily accommodated if indicated on the booking forms.
