Every year the College invites Grade 6’s and 7’s to Sleepover over the course of a weekend. The purpose of the Sleepover is to expose pupils to a taste of Boarding, show them the campus and meet the staff and pupils. We believe that in the case of College Boarding, a few hours for an Open Day just isn’t enough to make an informed decision. There are two Sleepovers per year, one in March and the other in August, giving more opportunity to find a weekend that suits you!
Saturday 9th March
Sleepover children will need to be dropped off at the Alan Staples Centre on the College campus at 15h00 and parents will be taken on a tour of the boarding houses upon arrival. Please do not drop and go! Following a short welcome to everyone from Kean Broom, the College Headmaster, there will be a taste of culture in the Theatre. Parents will then depart and all children will enjoy supper in the main dining hall along with the balance of the School.
Sunday 10th March
The day starts with hot chocolate and muffins and a chapel service for the children. Weather dependent activities are schedule between the Dam, Wildlife Area and the climbing walls followed by the best thing on a Sunday….. brunch in the main dining hall!
Parents we invite you to join us at 10h00 at the College Sports Pavilion for an Information Breakfast with Kean and the key management staff. The Pavilion is situated between the Astroturf and the Holford sports field. Following this you may depart at your leisure.
For any children requiring special dietary requirements, these are easily accommodated if indicated on the booking forms.
Siblings are more then welcome to attend the Information Breakfast as we will have an intern looking after them. Although informal, the morning can be a little tiresome for the younger ones so there will be supervised activities for them.
